Downstage Dance is a space for young people of all levels to develop artistry and build self confidence through movement. Dance is a vibrant and enriching art form that we believe should be taught and experienced as such. This educational foundation is the heart of our school. Our program is designed for both the recreational and serious dancer, led by compassionate and accomplished professionals. We offer a variety of dance classes for children and exciting programs for adults. Downstage Dance will present a Winter Performance and Spring Performances.

COMPANY CLASSES (Mini, Junior & Senior Company)
This is a program designed for the dedicated and serious dancer. Versatility in all dance forms and enthusiasm are expected from each student with the hope of shaping well rounded performers. Downstage Dance Company members have the opportunity to perform company pieces in our annual performances, in addition to performing in communities around Long Island, Rockette Intensives and an adjudication showcase with Dance Device Lab, who we have partnered with each summer since our inception. Company classes are by invitation only, students are required to take required classes at a set monthly fee. Costume fees, and apparel fees apply!

2026-2027 DOWNSTAGE DANCE TUITION SCHEDULE, PAYMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

ONLINE REGISTRATION ONLY: Students will not be registered in classes until payment is received. Due at sign up: $60.00 Non-refundable registration fee, first month (September) and last month (June) payment are due at the time of online registration.

Monthly Tuition Only: First month and last month’s payment are due at the time of online registration (September 2026 and June 2027). Payments due thereafter, always on the first of each month, October 1st, 2025 through May 1st, 2026.

AUTOPAY 2026/2027: Autopay is required for all families. All families must leave a credit card on file in your parent portal account. Any cards declined will receive a $40 processing fee, no exceptions. Cards accepted are Mastercard, Visa, Discover or American Express. Your credit card/debit will be charged the 1st of every month.

Downstage Dance does not pro-rate for any classes missed. If tuition payment(s) are more than 30 days past due, student(s) may be suspended until payment(s) is made.

Any tuition that must be made by Cash or Check and received after the 10th of the month will incur a $40.00 late charge, no exceptions.

$40.00 fee will be charged for returned checks.

Dropped classes: Any student who drops a class after the drop date of October 1st, 2026 will be responsible for the remaining fees of that trimester. A $175 cancellation fee will be applied for any classes dropped after November 1st, 2026. Dropped classes must be done in writing via email. No refunds will be given for classes paid in full after November 1st.

Costume Payments: $100 Costume deposit is due October 1, 2026. November 1st, second costume payment due. Final costume payment is due no later than December 1, 2026. Costume payments will be accepted by Cash or Check only. Any late costume payments will incur a $40.00 late fee for each month it is late. All costume payments are non-refundable! Any student who joins Downstage Dance after January 1st, 2026 will incur an additional shipping fee in addition to costume payment. Students will be measured by Downstage Dance Faculty.

Winter & Spring Performances: All dancers are required to perform in both Winter and Spring Performances.

Please note: Any dancers who drop out of the performance unless there is an extenuating circumstance will be subject to a Dropped Performance Fee of $175.00.

Winter and Spring Performance Tickets: All Winter and Spring Performance ticket payments will be accepted by Cash or Check only.

Picture Day Payments: Picture Day payments will be accepted by Cash or Check only. All picture day payments must be made at the time of sign up. No Refunds!

All tuition, tickets, costumes, pictures and merchandise sales are final.

No refunds or make up classes will be given for classes canceled due to inclement weather.

All School Closings and/or school closings due to inclement weather will be posted on our Facebook page, Instagram, and our Website www.downstage-dance.com.

The Student and Parent give Downstage Dance, LLC., all rights and privileges to use the Student's likeness or image in any printed or recorded material, without compensation and notification. All such material shall remain property of Downstage Dance.

Illegal activity and/or inappropriate behavior taking place anywhere by the student not suitable in the sole opinion of the Director is cause for Downstage Dance, LLC. to immediately expel the Student and immediately terminate this agreement. Examples of inappropriate behavior, without limitation are disrespect of staff members or bullying of other students.

Downstage Dance will immediately expel a Student, regardless of age, found using alcohol, illegal drugs, and/or any illicit substance at any time, any place and such action is cause for Downstage Dance to immediately terminate this agreement.

All dancers and parents must fully agree and understand the terms above, and accept full financial responsibility for all related costs during the 2025-2026 dance year at Downstage Dance, LLC. when registering online on the parent portal.

PLEASE ADVISE: Downstage Dance, LLC. does not permit the use of our company name or company logo in creating any merchandise (ie. bags, shirts, sweatshirts, gifts, pens, magnets, etc.) by vinyl/cricket or custom designed items for personal use or group distribution. Downstage merchandise and apparel is available for purchase through our own personal vendor. Attempting to create or sell items with our company name and/or logo will result in copyright/trademark legal action.

COSTUME FEES FOR 2026-2027
Due to increased vendor pricing and shipping costs, costume pricing has been adjusted to ensure we maintain quality, consistency, and timely ordering.

ADULT SIZE COSTUMES: $150.00 PER COSTUME

CHILD SIZE COSTUMES: $125.00 PER COSTUME

Company dancers will require two performance costumes which are priced separately from recreational class costumes due to additional requirements, ordering timelines and coordination. TOTAL COST PER COMPANY COSTUME: $200.00.
